About this workshop
This is a workshop for people who want to cut down on their sugar intake, or perhaps quit eating added sugar completely.
So many of us turn to sugar to comfort us, to ease cravings, to fill a gap.
And, although it’s obviously not as damaging as alcohol, the impact of sugar on our mental health, our cognitive function, our hormones, our guts, our joints and our muscles, our immune system, is not to be taken lightly.
When we are trying to quit damaging substance or behaviour (like eating too much sugar), it’s important that we support ourselves with self-compassion.
Key to this is understanding why we behave in certain ways.
What makes us feel the way we do, and behave the way we do?
You won’t want this kind of stuff anymore!
At this workshop, you'll find out how to:
Reduce sugar cravings
Change damaging patterns of behaviour
Implement lasting changes with self-compassion
Support low mood, anxiety and insomnia
Increase motivation and energy
“Thank you for a hugely informative and enjoyable workshop. You shared many pearls of wisdom and key points which are encouraging and make great sense. You also helped me feel positive that things can be improved with gentle steps.”
- Hettie, previous How to Break a Sugar Habit workshop participant

“The workshop had a huge impact on me and I feel inspired to eliminate sugar as much as possible.
I found it useful to have graphs (love visuals) and explanations of how we all physically function slightly differently and how we need to be mindful of what and when we eat. “

Workshop and retreat facilitator since 2019
I have been running online and in-person workshops and retreats on nutrition, gut health, mental health, addiction recovery and the menopause transition since 2019.
My personal history of overcoming an alcohol addiction, a nicotine addiction and binge-eating led me to have a special interest in working with people who experience anxiety, low mood, and / or addictions to alcohol or other damaging substances or behaviours, and who struggle to make lasting changes.
I’d love to see you there.
"Absolutely brilliant. Clear, concise and so helpful. Kind-hearted but utterly professional. It was, for me at any rate, inspiring and on point. I would change nothing. Welcoming, warm and beyond informative."
- Helen, previous workshop participant
