Online Kundalini Global classes
Friday mornings at 8am - 9am (GMT) on Zoom
Currently in class we are looking at physical, mental and emotional health through the lens of energy centres, and examining how they can be linked to addictive behaviour patterns. In July, classes focus on the heart energy centre.
You can interact as much or as little as you wish online, or catch up in your own time with the recordings. Classes are available to all abilities and levels of fitness. (£8 / £4 concs)
The Sunday Sessions (online)
Connect, stretch and breathe on Sunday evenings from 8pm - 9pm (GMT) on Zoom
The aim behind these sessions is to create a supportive space to connect with each other and share whatever is currently good, and whatever might be challenging. Each week, I will set a theme for discussion (the group is welcome to suggest topics too).
Then we will do some gentle stretches and breathwork to set us up for the week ahead.
All are welcome. I've kept prices low (£4.50 / £2.00 concs), and you can book on an ad hoc basis (no membership or long-term commitment).
In-person, online and 1:1 classes
Yoga has made a profound difference to my addiction recovery and it continues to help me manage my tendencies towards an anxious mind and low mood. In the early days, a regular practice anchored me and, as time went on, the movement and breath helped to quieten the noise in my head.
Kundalini yoga, in particular, has made the biggest difference. The powerful breathwork and repetitive movements allowed me - finally! - to be still. Not only have my sleep, stress levels, cognitive function and mood dramatically improved, now I have space to learn more about what really matters to me. It has become a deeply reflective practice, and the teachings of yoga support me in all aspects of my life.
This stillness and sense of spaciousness is something that is elusive for so many of us, so I decided to train as a Kundalini teacher to share it with others. First I studied with the Kundalini Yoga School in Amsterdam, then trained as a Kundalini Global teacher with founder Carolyn Cowan.
The Kundalini Global method of yoga works with the stress system and helps us feel less anxious and contracted. We quickly experience how movement and breath can change how we feel and we learn to shift easily between energised and motivated; or open-hearted and receptive; or quiet and still.
It is an inclusive, safe and accessible form of yoga that’s unattached to any specific religious or spiritual practice. Everyone is welcome, and all levels and needs are accommodated.
I create an open warm-hearted space where you can feel comfortable to be creative, explorative or simply soak up the opportunity for some rest.
I am fully insured and accredited by the Yoga Alliance Professionals.
It’s about recognising that you can choose to change how you feel.
Tailoring it to your own needs
I also offer 1:1 sessions, and I travel to teach on retreats and in corporate organisations and charities. If you would like to discuss a workshop or class at your venue or organisation, or discuss a 1:1 session, please get in touch.
