Change How You Feel: Tools for Anxious and Addictive Minds

  • The River Room Mill Lane Lancaster, England, LA2 6ND United Kingdom (map)

Discover how to build agency over your mental and physical wellbeing

This is a half-day workshop where you will learn tools to change how you feel:

  • Quieten anxious thought loops

  • Shift low mood and dull energy

  • Reduce cravings and ease discomfort

  • Build concentration and clarity

  • Increase capacity to be with difficult situations and feelings

Who is this workshop for?

It’s for anyone who feels trapped or locked in negative cycles - including everyday self-damaging behaviours that are normalised but harmful to our wellbeing.

Damaging behaviours might include drinking too much, binge-eating, overdoing the sugar, smoking/vaping, over-use of social media, over-exercise, obsessions around health and longevity, and many more. Often we turn to these behaviours to avoid being present - we humans are exceptionally creative when it comes to finding ways to avoid our feelings!

Through movement, breath, coaching and nutrition support, I help my clients break free from damaging habits, and build emotional and physical resilience.

Facilitated by Lindsey Beveridge

I have been running online and in-person workshops and retreats on gut health, mental health, addiction recovery and the menopause transition since 2019.

My personal history of overcoming an alcohol addiction, a nicotine addiction and binge-eating led me to have a special interest in working with people who struggle with anxiety, low mood, and / or addictions to alcohol or other damaging substances or behaviours.

Since qualifying as a naturopathic nutritionist in 2019, and later as a transformational coach, I have helped 1000s of people shift damaging patterns of behaviour. I’ve helped them implement positive changes to their diet and lifestyle so they can feel better. I trained as a Kundalini yoga and breathwork teacher because movement and breath are fundamental to healing and it has played a foundational role in my addiction recovery process.

I’d love to see you there.

Thanks very much for the workshop which I found thorough, informative and interesting. I learned a lot and feel armed with really helpful information that I can use to help myself. I found the effect of the yoga quite extraordinary. It transformed my frame of mind and I slept really well and felt calm which carried on into the next day. Very powerful!

About Kundalini Global

Kundalini Global works with the stress system. We experience how movement and breath can change how we feel - quite quickly. It is a wonderful practice for people who suffer from anxiety, low mood, and/ or addictive behaviour patterns.

The practice supports nervous system health - neurotransmitter release, fascia and psoas muscle release, and vagal tone - and I explain a bit as we go along.

It was founded by Carolyn Cowan, a yoga teacher and teacher trainer with decades’ worth of experience, who is also a psychotherapist specialising in trauma, anxiety, addiction, shame, pre-and-postnatal health and more.

Kundalini Global is unattached to any religious or spiritual practice or guru and it's suitable for all body types and levels of fitness. It is not suitable for pregnancy, however.
