Workshops
Since 2019 I have been offering workshops and talks on anxiety and depression, the gut-brain connection, stress, sleep, the menopause transition, ageing well, and quitting or reducing addictive substances such as alcohol and sugar.
During these sessions - a combination of yoga, breath, nutrition and neuroscience - participants are offered a balance of information, engagement and reflection.
Please get in touch if you would like me to deliver a session for your organisation or group.

Addictive Behaviour Patterns and Energy Centres
More often than not my workshops and online sessions focus on the science behind addiction and recovery - genetics; neurotransmitters; the impact of hormones; gut health and nutritional deficiencies; how trauma affects us; and about the substances themselves so we get a deeper understanding about why we are drawn to particular substances.
But in my experience, this isn’t the whole picture. Often we will quit one substance or behaviour, and then we find that some other addictive pattern of behaviour pops up, like a game of whack-a-mole.
So we need to go deeper if we want to get a real handle on why we behave in the ways that we do.
Unravelling Patterns of Self-Sabotage
We all self-sabotage from time to time. They are protective patterns of behaviour that usually stem from childhood.
When we understand why we behave in the ways that we do, why we have these self-sabotaging patterns of behaviour in place, then we can meet ourselves with compassion and start to make changes.
